Petroleum Gas:
 In 1994, following imports and
distribution of kerosene, an LPG bottling plant was put
up near Chennai with an initial investment of USD 2.3
Million. The plant is installed with a capacity of filling
2,500 LPG cylinders per day. The plant was set-up with
an aim of offering LPG in cylinders to consumers and commercial
users. The market demand for this LPG has been encouraging
and efforts are being made to market in the rural areas
which has always been neglected.
We have signed up few contracts for LPG bottling service
with few companies and efforts are being taken to expand
the plant capacity to meet the growing needs.
Superior Kerosene
Oil:
S.G.S. Group was the first to import and distribute
Superior Kerosene Oil in South India. We import Kerosene
through Chennai, Cochin, Vishakapatinam and Mangalore
Ports. We have our own storage tank facilities. We are
one of the largest importers and sellers of Superior
Kerosene Oil (SKO) from the middle east countries. The
Kerosene imported is distributed through 300 odd dealers
by our fleet of trucks.The distribution is controlled
by our regional office and branches in all the states.
